Steve Meredith (Mez) - Team Captain |
| |
Having competed in 2001, 2002, 2004, & 2007 Steve brings a wealth of experience to the team. Mr organiser himself brings the dedication, knowledge and desire to pull his team from nowhere and guide them to dizzy heights of stardom.
Without Steve's committment and enthusiasm for this challenge, we may not even be here. The only thing we hope Steve doesn't do this year is wear his skin tight shorts that he's been knocking around in since his school days - very banterful Steve, but NOT a good look!

Jonny Stevens (Jonny) |

After declaring his entry in 2007 would not only be his long awaited debut, but also his last, Jonny returns to the hills, eager to repeat the success of last year!
As a relative novice to the hills, Jonny more than proved his worth to the team last time out, as his fitness shone through and his sense of humour carried the team forward during it’s darkest moments.
The crucial experience gained from 2007 will surely propel Jonny as the strongest member of the team and the other guys will be looking to him for assured footing, essential boosts of moral and the answer we’ve all been waiting for – does Jonny have the thinnest legs at the event?

Paul Tilley (Bakewell) |
| |
Paul returns to the hills in his 3rd attempt at the four peaks challenge - lets hope that Paul is better prepared this time round - we won't mention that you had to be carried up Nevis and Carantouhill back in 2004 Paul :-) or that you failed to bring ANY sleeping/camping equipment last year (guess that hard floor at the cricket club was confortable then?)
That said, for 2008 Paul probably stands out as being the strongest member of the team, since learning that he would be competing in the event once more, Paul upped sticks and moved to the Yorkshire dales where he is now living from the land, running over the dales, fueling his "mountain goat" of a body from berries, disgarded sandwiches and seeking shelter from unsuspecting mares at night.
Paul brings a certain pinnache to the team, mixed with a steely determination not to fail

Matthew Barnard (Ipswich) |
| |
With the responsibility of transporting the team 1,900 miles through highlands, valleys and across vast waters,Ipswich joins 4peaksake with an impressive background of driving experience.
Having passed his test easily on the 5th time of asking and with only a had full of accidents to is name the lads know they are in safe hands between the peaks.
Ipswich brings a cracking sense of humour and good nature which will be welcomed during the challenge. Our Driver will turn Climber on the Biggest and most technical Mountain in Ireland as Ipswich will also compete in the 'Drivers Challenge'
A big hand for getting involved at short notice and in some very difficult circumstances. The team is complete!
